Role Overview
Orano specializes in providing innovative products, technologies, and services across various sectors including mining, uranium processing, enrichment, recycling of spent fuels, logistics, engineering, and decommissioning.
Within the Recycling Division, Orano TEMIS focuses on executing high-value projects and developing specialized equipment. This division is tasked with the design and fabrication of mechanical and robotic systems tailored for challenging environments. Additionally, they manufacture equipment utilizing unique metals and concrete-fiber containers intended for hazardous waste management.
Orano is currently seeking a Shift Workshop Supervisor for 2*8 shifts at their production facility.
Your role encompasses overseeing operations in two distinct workshops:
- The container production line: responsible for the creation of CSDV and CSDC containers
- The densification workshop: focused on producing a new generation of storage baskets for the La Hague site pools
Key responsibilities include ensuring that manufacturing processes align with Quality, Cost, and Time objectives. You will be accountable for your workshops, ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, Security, and Environmental standards.
Your duties will consist of:
- Leading workshop teams
- Promoting awareness of workplace hazards and enforcing safety protocols
- Allocating personnel based on production demands while ensuring product quality, scheduling, and efficiency
- Directing and managing teams effectively
- Fostering the development of team members (training, skill enhancement, autonomy, etc.)
- Offering technical assistance to operators
- Ensuring adherence to relevant documentation
- Monitoring team qualifications and competencies
- Maintaining an organized workshop environment
- Daily management: advocating for and effectively implementing Operational Excellence
The production lines are designed to operate at a consistent pace, with roles structured around cycle times and operational efficiency. Standardization and the ability to respond promptly to production needs are vital.
These automated production lines incorporate various manufacturing techniques such as machining, welding, stamping, and collaborative robotics. Familiarity with this operational context, particularly regarding loss analysis and problem-solving through time measurement and uncertainty identification, is crucial.
The production lines also feature several manual roles. Training, versatility, and skill development are essential for achieving SQCD performance. Consequently, strong managerial capabilities suited to this operational context are imperative.
This position is subject to collective closures during designated periods. Paid leave is required during these times.
