Department Overview

The Group Ceded Reinsurance Department plays a crucial role in:

  • Formulating the AXA Group's reinsurance strategy;
  • Assessing the risks associated with covered portfolios;
  • Safeguarding the financial stability of the Group's entities;
  • Ensuring the security of insurance operations for our subsidiaries;
  • Implementing solutions that enhance the Group's internal capabilities and facilitate risk transfers to external markets.

Position Overview

As the Cat Life and P&C Executive, you will be tasked with structuring and placing the Group cover for Life risks, managing the AXA Property Pool, and optimizing AXA XL reinsurance. You will also engage in cross-functional projects related to the Underwriting and Placement of Catastrophe Group Protections.

You will report directly to the Head of Reinsurance Underwriting and Group Protections - CAT.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing underwriting committees to assess AXA subsidiaries' Life risks;
  • Structuring programs for your subject risk portfolio in line with the Group's risk appetite;
  • Placing reinsurance programs for the Life Group cover in collaboration with AXA entities;
  • Ensuring effective collaboration with the actuarial department and relevant Lines of Business within AXA entities;
  • Participating in management and underwriting activities for the AXA Group Property Pool;
  • Coordinating the delivery of Cat data to the market for renewal purposes;
  • Overseeing the Cat claims renewal lists process.

Candidate Profile

Technical and Professional Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of insurance and reinsurance techniques, products, and markets;
  • Expertise in Property Catastrophe and/or Life;
  • Strong risk analysis capabilities.

Communication Skills:

  • Analytical mindset;
  • Attention to detail and ability to synthesize information;
  • Exceptional negotiation skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities;
  • Customer service orientation;
  • Aptitude for working in an international and multicultural setting;
  • Team-oriented approach.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an insurance or reinsurance role.
