Department Overview

The Group Ceded Reinsurance Department plays a crucial role in:

  • Defining the reinsurance strategy for AXA Group;
  • Analyzing the risks associated with covered portfolios;
  • Protecting the financial stability of our entities;
  • Securing the insurance operations of our subsidiaries;
  • Implementing solutions that enhance our internal capabilities and facilitate risk transfers to external markets.

Position Overview

As the Cat Life and P&C Executive, you will be instrumental in structuring and placing the Group cover for Life risks. Your contributions will also extend to managing the AXA Property Pool and optimizing AXA XL reinsurance, alongside engaging in cross-functional projects related to the Underwriting and Placement of Cat Group Protections.

You will report directly to the Head of Reinsurance Underwriting and Group Protections - CAT.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing underwriting committees to assess AXA subsidiaries' Life risk exposures;
  • Structuring coverage programs in line with the Group's risk appetite;
  • Placing reinsurance programs for the Life Group cover in collaboration with AXA entities;
  • Ensuring effective collaboration with the actuarial department and relevant Lines of Business within AXA;
  • Participating in the management and underwriting of the AXA Group Property Pool;
  • Coordinating the delivery of Cat data to the market for renewal purposes;
  • Overseeing the Cat claims renewal lists process.

Your Profile

Technical and Professional Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of insurance and reinsurance techniques, products, and markets;
  • Expertise in Property Catastrophe and/or Life insurance;
  • Strong risk analysis capabilities.

Communication Skills:

  • Analytical mindset;
  • Attention to detail and synthesis abilities;
  • Strong negotiation skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Customer service orientation;
  • Able to thrive in an international and multicultural environment;
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.

Experience:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in an insurance or reinsurance role.
