Job Title: Internship: Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment

UNESCO is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to support its efforts in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.

Job Summary:

The selected intern will assist in the implementation of Priority Gender Equality at UNESCO, focusing on the four Strategic Objectives of the organization. The intern will analyze documents and projects related to gender equality and women's empowerment, draft reports, briefings, and notes, and develop effective communication materials for the Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting activities related to global priority gender equality
  • Analyze documents and projects related to gender equality and women's empowerment
  • Develop communication materials for the Division, including social media content
  • Assist in organizing conferences, events, and outreach initiatives
  • Provide assistance in maintaining contacts with stakeholders and partners
  • Contribute to the preparation and follow-up of sessions of the Executive Board and/or the General Conference
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program or recently graduated with a Master's degree or PhD
  • Excellent command of English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of office-related software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Benefits:

Interns are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month during their internship. UNESCO does not remunerate interns.
