Job Title: Internship: Gender Equality Specialist

UNESCO is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to support the Division for Gender Equality in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.

Job Summary:

The intern will assist in the implementation of priority gender equality at UNESCO, focusing on the four strategic objectives of the organization. Key responsibilities include analyzing documents and projects related to gender equality, drafting reports and briefings, and developing effective communication materials for the Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the analysis and monitoring of activities related to global priority gender equality
  • Draft reports, briefings, and notes on gender equality and women's empowerment
  • Develop communication materials for the Division, including social media content
  • Assist in the organization of conferences, events, and outreach initiatives
  • Provide support in maintaining contacts with stakeholders and partners
  • Contribute to the preparation and follow-up of sessions of the Executive Board and/or the General Conference
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program or recently graduated with a Master's degree or PhD
  • Excellent command of English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of office-related software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
What We Offer:

UNESCO does not remunerate interns, but they are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month during their internship.
