Job Title: Internship: Gender Equality Specialist

UNESCO is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to support the Division for Gender Equality in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.

Job Summary:

The intern will assist in follow-up, monitoring, and reporting of activities related to global priority gender equality, analyze documents and projects, and develop effective communication materials. The intern will also assist in organizing conferences, events, and outreach initiatives, and contribute to the preparation and follow-up of sessions of the Executive Board and/or the General Conference.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in follow-up, monitoring, and reporting of activities related to global priority gender equality
  • Analyze documents and projects related to the promotion of gender equality and women's empowerment
  • Develop effective communication materials, including social media content
  • Assist in organizing conferences, events, and outreach initiatives
  • Contribute to the preparation and follow-up of sessions of the Executive Board and/or the General Conference
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program or have recently graduated with a Master's degree or PhD
  • Excellent command of English or French, and a working knowledge of the other language
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of office-related software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Benefits:

UNESCO does not remunerate interns. Interns are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month during their internship.
