Job Title: Sales Associate

GTT Communications, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in driving the generation of new logo and upsell leads, while learning the sales cycle and contributing to the growth of our regions.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and qualify potential leads through new logo and upsell opportunities, utilizing cold calling, email campaigns, events, and social media outreach.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify key decision-makers and understand the needs of potential clients.
  • Engage with prospects to understand their challenges and position GTT's products effectively.
  • Schedule meetings to support the sales team with qualified leads and shadow these meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize lead generation strategies and campaigns.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets.
  • Support account and opportunity plan development.
  • Develop new business within assigned regions or industries, gathering data on marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing.
  • Present products or services to stakeholders, answer customer questions, and address their needs.
  • Accelerate sales revenue by completing repeatable tasks in support of the sales function, such as quoting, proposal development, forecast support, and administrative activities.
Job Scope:

This role primarily interacts with sales teams, sales support, order processing, sales engineering, marketing, and service delivery, in addition to direct customer-facing activities and lead generation.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or telecommunications sales, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ambition for a long-term career in global enterprise sales.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, working well in team environments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft's M365 software suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
