Key Responsibilities

As a Sales and Marketing Director at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating local, national, and international market trends and competitor hotels' sales initiatives to ensure the hotel's sales remain competitive.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Ensure a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales solicitation via telephone, contracts, and written communications.
  • Conduct professional sales calls using Hyatt's Consultative Selling principles and SMART Selling philosophies.
  • Plan sales calls with defined objectives.
  • Systematically and efficiently call on allocated accounts within location and report findings and opportunities to the Associate Director of Sales.
  • Pre-qualify and target prospects, utilizing the Envision database, and develop effective sales solicitation strategies to increase the hotel's market share.
  • Conduct routine telemarketing activities to identify new business opportunities and follow up on sales leads.
  • Meet and greet VIP guests upon arrival/departure.
  • Plan and make sales trips to current and potential clientele to explore new business opportunities.
  • Establish strong contacts to source information regarding planned and upcoming functions/events.
  • Assist Sales Buddy in following up on all matters in their absence.
  • Implement all sales action plans related to responsibility areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
