We are seeking a highly skilled Synthetic Materials Development Specialist to join our team at GIS MIC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing non-metallic specifications, collaborating with process discipline design and operating conditions, and managing interfaces with engineering disciplines and QCS.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement non-metallic specifications for polymer materials
- Collaborate with process discipline design and operating conditions to confirm selection of polymer materials
- Manage interfaces with engineering disciplines and QCS to address vendor queries and deviation requests
- Participate in meetings with clients and partners to discuss project progress and requirements
- Produce high-quality deliverables and reports on activities performed
- MSc degree in Materials Engineering or Chemistry with a specialty in polymer
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering
- Good knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to the use of polymer in the oil and gas industry
- Proficient in English language
- Self-managing, dynamic, and responsive with good teamwork and interpersonal skills
This is a 6-month renewable contract with a starting date in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality results and contributing to the success of our team.
