Job Overview
OBJECTIVE:
To oversee and coordinate Pre-Commissioning operations for pipeline and umbilical projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess Client requirements and objectives.
- Comprehend contract frameworks, delineating responsibilities among various parties.
- Engage in project Engineering evaluations concerning all matters related to pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Participate in HAZIDS/HIRAs, conduct supplier assessments, and provide pertinent recommendations.
- Observe functional testing of supplier equipment.
- Coordinate and participate in specific trials and operations, both offshore and onshore, as necessary.
- Manage the preparation, revision, and tracking of comprehensive equipment mobilization lists, ensuring timely delivery to site.
- Facilitate and support the mobilization and demobilization processes on-site.
- Supervise subcontractor activities.
- Organize and oversee on-site toolbox discussions.
- Manage third-party subcontractors at Client fabrication sites and offshore vessels as required.
- Report directly to the project Pre-Commissioning Lead.
- Provide oversight to Junior Engineers on-site.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience in EPCI/SURF projects.
- Extensive knowledge and proficiency in pipeline and umbilical pre-commissioning activities.
- Experience working both on-site and offshore as part of a project team.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of French is advantageous.
