As the Design Director, your mission will be to shape a product and brand that becomes the most sought-after in the sports industry. Our users should feel that owning Sorare cards connects them to a community of sports enthusiasts, unlocking unique experiences and being part of thrilling games. Card ownership should evoke a sense of magic.
The Design Director will collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to define and enhance Sorare's user experience across our three sports.
While expertise in sports, gaming, or blockchain is not a prerequisite for working at Sorare, we seek individuals who are results-oriented, thrive in a dynamic work environment, take full ownership of their responsibilities, and work independently.
Responsibilities
- Vision: Own and realize the Sorare design vision. Quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of Sorare's product, partnerships, community, and usage to inspire and execute. Identify user-centered issues and propose creative solutions.
- Craft: Lead by example, demonstrating how to design simple, intuitive, and delightful mobile-first experiences.
- Develop: Attract top-tier product and creative designers. Build a lean team focused on achieving high quality and impactful results.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a design leadership role for a consumer-facing application.
- Proven experience in building, managing, and empowering successful and lean teams.
- Strong communication skills; adept at interacting with and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Interest in sports and sports fandom.
- Hands-on creator with a deep passion for your craft.
- Insightful opinions on consumer design and ideally art/fashion trends.
