Engineering Project Manager

Alstom is seeking an experienced Turnkey Project Engineering Manager to lead the technical aspects of our turnkey transportation system projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for system integration and system engineering, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects that meet our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities- Tender Phase: Develop optimized solutions for turnkey engineering workpackages, collaborating with subsystem technical managers to ensure technical, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Technical Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with consortium partners and clients, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Performance Calculations: Choose hypotheses for performance calculations and validate results to ensure accurate system specifications.
- System Specifications: Validate system specifications and interfaces specifications produced by your team, ensuring technical consistency.
- System Configuration and Requirement Management: Control system configuration and requirement management in accordance with design milestones.
- Design Changes: Manage design changes related to transport system definition throughout the project lifecycle.
- Preliminary and Final Designs: Follow the progress of preliminary and final designs.
- VTA Activities: Prepare VTA activities in collaboration with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager.
- Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate the Engineering Project/Tender team.
- Methods and Engineering Tools: Implement methods and engineering tools.
- Knowledge Transfer: Ensure the carry-over of knowledge from previous projects and current R&Ds.
- Project Support: Support the Project Manager as needed.
We are looking for a candidate with a Master's University Degree in Engineering and a strong background in railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in railway system engineering in an international project, with expertise in system engineering and system engineering methodology (MBSE). Fluency in English and contract language is required, with a strong understanding of the rail environment and good coordination and communication skills.
