Actuary Officer

Descartes Underwriting is seeking an experienced Actuary Officer to join our Risk Management Actuarial Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the deployment of Solvency II production and reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that the solvency assessment takes into account the specific risk profile of the company
- Contribute to any additional ACPR requests (figures, tests, etc.)
- Contribute to the production of all reporting data required for the regulators (QRT)
- Ensure the relevance of the methodologies and underlying models used and the assumptions made in the calculation process, assess the sufficiency and quality of data used in the calculation of technical provisions, assess the reliability and adequacy of the calculation of technical provisions and compare best estimates against experience, etc.
- Master's degree in Actuarial from actuarial schools
- Fluency in English and French is required (written and spoken)
- Commitment from Descartes to its staff of continued learning and development (think annual seminars, training, etc.)
