About Descartes Underwriting

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Actuary Officer to join our Risk Management Actuarial Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the deployment of Solvency II production and reports, working closely with all business units to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate SCR using a standard formula and maintain tools for prudential calculation and closing production.
- Contribute to Solvency II prudential reports, ensuring that the solvency assessment takes into account the specific risk profile of the company.
- Contribute to the production of all reporting data required for the regulators (QRT) and handle internal reporting.
Calculation of Technical Provisions
- Ensure the relevance of the methodologies and underlying models used and the assumptions made in the calculation process, assess the sufficiency and quality of data used in the calculation of technical provisions, and assess the reliability and adequacy of the calculation of technical provisions and compare best estimates against experience.
- Contribute to the actuarial report.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Actuary Officer with a strong background in non-life actuarial and a Master's degree in Actuarial from an actuarial school. You should have a strong ability to draft technical and quantitative reports and a strong knowledge in Solvency II.
