About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our data assets. You will work closely with various stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks and policies aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business units to identify data needs, define data quality standards, and implement data validation processes.
- Conduct data audits and assessments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices and tools.
- Monitor data usage patterns and identify potential risks or vulnerabilities.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data governance.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role or in a business analyst capacity with a focus on data management initiatives.
- Strong understanding of information management principles, data modeling techniques, and database systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the energy industry.
- Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
- Fluency in French and English, Dutch a plus.
