Your RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Head of Contracts to lead our team responsible for delivering contractual service agreements for large-scale offshore wind farm projects across the EU HUB. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in defining our contracting strategy, implementing corrective and preventive maintenance activities, and negotiating contracts.
Responsibilities and Functions- Develop and implement a contracting strategy, including specifying key milestones and ensuring alignment between different contracts to reduce contractual interface risk.
- Lead the review, optimization, and negotiation of contracts, acting as an escalation point of contact in commercial discussions.
- Support the gathering of risk and opportunities through supplier meetings and help manage issue escalations where necessary.
- Develop contracts governance, processes, reporting, and control of contracts progress and status.
- Lead the O&M delivery of tender processes, coordinate internal stakeholders, and ensure alignment with internal processes and approvals.
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of technical annexes, providing a commercial view.
- Ensure timely notification of internal and external stakeholders of contractual or commercial risks and impacts of any variations to the contract.
- Manage and coordinate advice on key commercial risks under existing service provider contracts.
- Manage claims, warranties, and variations with contractors.
- Provide key and strategic commercial advice, assessment, and recommendations to the business.
- Monitor and anticipate claims made by contractors under the contracts and develop mitigation strategies in line with the contract terms.
- Ensure Iberdrola best practices and processes are implemented and applied in contract management.
We are looking for an individual with an Engineering Degree level qualification and significant experience in leading tendering processes, contract negotiations, and detailed commercial delivery contracts. You should have a proven ability to manage the negotiation of multi-contracts in competing timescales and be flexible to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites in northern Europe.
LanguageFluency in French is required for this role.
