Financial Operations Controller

DP World is seeking a Financial Operations Controller with expertise in Logistics Management. This position will report directly to the Finance Director - Air, Ocean & Logistics Management, aimed at enhancing our Finance & Controlling division in France. The initial focus will be on the monthly financial reporting for the logistics business units within the region, alongside contributing to the growth of the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile monthly financial reports for each business unit.
  • Collaborate closely with the Consolidation and Financial Accounting teams to ensure precise and timely financial reporting.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly Business Unit KPIs, analyzing performance trends.
  • Review monthly performance metrics with Business Unit managers and develop follow-up actions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for individual business units.
  • Support year-end statutory financial reporting.
  • Facilitate the establishment of new business units from a financial reporting perspective.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Context:

This role is an on-site position located in one of our offices in Paris.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance role with a strong operational focus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus (not mandatory).
  • Understanding of IFRS and local GAAP reporting standards is advantageous (not mandatory).
  • Prior experience in an audit capacity would be beneficial (not mandatory).

Skills:

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with diverse individuals across various roles.
  • Solid business insight with a capability to understand the broader context.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly strong Excel skills (knowledge of the BPC add-on is a plus).
