Job Overview
As a pivotal figure in our organization, you will oversee one or multiple software initiatives. Your role involves close collaboration with developers, software architects, and technology group leaders to guarantee the successful development and upkeep of the final product solution. You will hold a significant responsibility for performance, quality, budgetary constraints, and timelines while coordinating with both local and offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish timelines, allocate tasks, and ensure software project objectives are met.
- Manage all software development phases, adhering to either V-cycle or agile methodologies, in alignment with departmental quality standards.
- Facilitate coordination among project software teams.
- Oversee the integration of software components and elements.
- Ensure the quality of milestones and deliverables while managing the software development budget.
- Report on software project progress through established KPIs.
- Maintain technical relationships and interfaces with clients.
- Participate in the development of software specifications.
- Engage in decision-making regarding architectural alternatives, ensuring alignment with other disciplines (hardware, cybersecurity, safety, system, and IVVQ).
- Potentially contribute to software code implementation, including design, coding, reviews, and testing (both static & dynamic unit tests and integration tests).
- Be aware that development may be subject to functional safety standards (ISO), cybersecurity requirements (ISO), and development process standards (ASPICE).
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Master’s degree in electrical engineering, embedded software development, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years in embedded real-time software development for electronic control units, including:
- At least 3 years of experience in developing low-level embedded software (BSP) under real-time constraints.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Embedded Software Project Leader.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in software project management, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules, budget constraints, and software quality.
- Experience leading functional teams.
- Proficiency in C programming, particularly in embedded and real-time contexts.
- Familiarity with 32-bit microcontroller architecture and the development of low-level software (BSP, microcontroller/hardware drivers, preemptive OS environments).
- Experience with embedded real-time software, considering constraints related to interruptions, CPU load, and limited microcontroller resources.
- Knowledge of process-constrained development, including configuration management, change management, traceability management, design rules, and quality gates.
- Familiarity with configuration/change/requirement management tools such as GIT, SVN, JIRA, Doors, and Reqtify.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets.
