Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our Engineering Services team. The successful candidate will have recent experience in software development and cross-functional project management, particularly in product release management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute software releases, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assemble and re-flash custom hardware, reproduce issues, collect logs, debug, and sanity test fixes and features.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring total customer satisfaction.
  • Direct and coordinate the delivery and implementation of major or complex projects within cost, schedule, and contract limitations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including budget, time constraints, contracts, and technical data.
  • Identify and mitigate risk factors to ensure successful project completion.
  • Arrange the distribution of work packages to responsible functions within the company and/or external contractors, ensuring awareness of and commitment to project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring cost and time constraints are met, and acting to ensure problem resolution as necessary.
  • Interface with software developers, group leaders, contractors, and others to obtain or provide program, technical, and progress data.
  • Liaise with internal departments, including Finance, Marketing, and Sales, and externally with Engineering Services customers and contractors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant proven experience in technical program/project management or proven experience as a Software Developer with extensive experience in C, C++, Java, or other equivalents and direct customer-facing interaction.
  • Technical supervisory experience with people or projects.
  • Knowledge of UNIX-based operating systems.
  • Project planning and management, decision-making, problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of applicable programmatic/technical procedures and specifications; awareness of program contractual processes.
  • Effective leadership, innovation, analysis, and communications.
  • Software implementation project management experience, planning, and deployments in an AGILE environment.
  • Used to managing multiple concurrent projects with different time frames.
  • Software development experience, ideally in the Embedded and RTOS Market.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing commercial implementation projects in the Embedded and RTOS Market.
  • Direct experience with QNX.
  • Direct experience with implementing a software development organization's compliance to 2 of the 8 following quality-related standards:
  • ISO 9001
  • SEI-CMMI
  • IEC 61508
  • IEC 62304
  • SPICE ISO/IEC 15504
  • Common Criteria ISO 15408
  • ISO 26262
