We are excited to announce an opportunity for a seasoned Senior Employment Legal Counsel to join our EMEA Employment Law Team, based in Paris.
This position will report directly to the Senior Director of EMEA Employment Law and will be instrumental in supporting Adobe's expansion in the region.
Operating across 22 countries in EMEA, Adobe is experiencing rapid growth. This role will primarily focus on providing comprehensive employment legal guidance and support for our Western EMEA region, which encompasses France, Italy, Spain, and the Benelux countries, among others.
As a truly EMEA-focused position, the successful candidate will encounter multi-jurisdictional challenges within a dynamic tech landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a proactive and enthusiastic member of Adobe's Global Employment Legal Team. Collaborate closely with colleagues across diverse organizational units. Exhibit leadership and innovative thinking to successfully drive cross-functional projects. Provide strategic and pragmatic employment law support on all HR-related aspects of business initiatives and operations. This includes advice on HR legal compliance, complex employee relations issues, disciplinary investigations, hiring and termination processes, diversity and inclusion initiatives, Works Council consultations, HR privacy and data protection matters, mergers and acquisitions, and a wide array of everyday HR concerns. Cultivate and manage relationships with external legal counsel throughout the region. Assist in employment litigation matters.Qualifications:
A qualified lawyer in France with approximately 10+ years of specialized employment law experience, either in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel for a multinational corporation. Extensive expertise in supporting Works Council processes. Strong leadership qualities, with a proven track record of fostering constructive partnerships with colleagues and business leaders, as well as leading cross-functional teams when necessary. Excellent judgment and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to legal advice, with confidence in making risk-based decisions. Ability to operate autonomously on a daily basis. Capacity to constructively challenge senior leadership when appropriate. Effective prioritization skills, capable of managing a high volume of diverse matters. Comfort in navigating unfamiliar challenges and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. Proficient in both English and French at a business level. Strong communication (both verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills. A collaborative approach to working across multiple teams and functions is essential. Willingness to work three days a week in our Paris office, with some travel as needed.
