Post-doc in Industrial and Systems Engineering for Modeling and Evaluation of Industrial Processes

Mines Saint-Étienne, a leading graduate school of engineering and management, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join its team. As part of the international collaboration project ANR NAIMAN, this position will focus on modeling and evaluating industrial processes to support the development of flexible, resilient, trustworthy, and sustainable manufacturing systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with the project coordinators and other partners to evaluate the capability of various process modeling approaches, define a set of principles for modeling industrial processes, and develop use cases to demonstrate the implementation of resilient and sustainable manufacturing systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and systems engineering, with significant experience in industrial process modeling. They will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as a good level of English, both written and spoken.
This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with a competitive salary and benefits package. The position is based in Saint-Étienne, with accommodation available on request for candidates with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the capability of various process modeling approaches to represent manufacturing systems.
- Define a set of principles for modeling industrial processes, taking into account trustworthiness, sustainability, flexibility, and resilience requirements.
- Develop use cases to demonstrate the implementation of resilient and sustainable manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with project partners to transfer knowledge and results.
- Disseminate research findings through conferences and journal papers.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in industrial and systems engineering or equivalent.
- Significant experience in industrial process modeling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Good level of English, both written and spoken.
