Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Systems Project Manager m/w, your primary duty will be to ensure compliance with established regulatory standards through the effective application of Quality Management System principles. Your role will also involve managing corporate-level projects focused on compliance and continuous improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and experts both within and outside of Zimmer Biomet. You will direct and support various Quality Management Processes, including Supplier Quality Management, Supplier Audits, Corrective and Preventive Actions, and Validation, to communicate and implement Zimmer Biomet's Quality Objectives.
This role is part of a two-year integration project initiative.
Impact Creation
- Overseeing corporate supplier quality systems projects aimed at developing and implementing processes, procedures, and instructions to enhance the Supplier Quality Management System.
- Assisting senior management in the strategic planning of quality systems strategies and objectives.
- Leading cross-functional teams in the formulation and execution of corporate quality systems strategies.
- Managing initiatives for the development and implementation of standardized supplier quality systems and best practices across the organization.
- Identifying and addressing continuous improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency of Zimmer's quality systems.
- Diagnosing and resolving product, system, and process-related issues.
- Supporting various teams in conducting audits and assessments of internal processes and supplier manufacturing sites, including CAPA.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
Additionally, a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Project Management within the Quality/Regulatory Compliance sector is essential.
A CQE or equivalent certification is preferred.
Success Factors
- Familiarity with all components of a quality system, including purchasing controls, management responsibility, resource management, product realization, and measurement, analysis, and improvement processes.
- Knowledge of quality assurance techniques such as inspection methods, statistical sampling plans, gauging and testing concepts, validation, and statistical process control.
- Ability to manage daily operational aspects of Corporate Supplier Quality Systems projects.
- Capability to create and execute project work plans, adjusting as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Proficiency in applying Quality Systems methodology and enforcing project standards.
- Skill in harmonizing and implementing best practices for supply chain management, supplier quality, and purchasing controls globally.
- Ensuring project documentation is complete, current, and properly stored.
- Demonstrating technical expertise, project management, and time management skills.
- Exhibiting a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently while considering various options for task completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- Willingness to independently identify, learn, and apply new skills as necessary.
