Role OverviewYour Role as a Project Lead Engineer
In this pivotal position within the Client Engineering team, you will support essential technical assurance activities. We seek a Project Lead Engineer to manage the design and execution of Onshore, Marine, or Crane systems for significant Client work packages. Your responsibilities will include the modernization and refurbishment of plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a cross-functional engineering team: Foster collaboration to deliver exceptional solutions.
- Assist the Client Project Manager: Supervise consultants and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Define and manage project scopes: Establish project requirements and conduct assurance activities.
- Work with BIM/CAD teams: Ensure designs align with project and stakeholder expectations.
- Review project documentation: Maintain high standards for project drawings and documentation.
- Oversee construction processes: Ensure adherence to design specifications during project execution.
- Facilitate meetings and design reviews: Lead discussions to achieve project milestones.
- Provide technical oversight: Supervise commissioning and decommissioning, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Deliver engineering presentations: Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Ensure safety and compliance: Uphold Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

QualificationsEssential Attributes:
Education and Experience:
- A degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or the ability to achieve chartered status through demonstrated professional development.
- Preferred background in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
Experience in the following areas:
- Project engineering of work packages, including site implementation/integration in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of compliance with legislation and standards in a regulated industry.
- Experience in producing technical documentation such as reports, specifications, and technical queries.
- Effective liaison with a variety of stakeholders.
- Basic health and safety training for site visits.
- Familiarity with nuclear safety cases (desirable).
