Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Director for Luxury Travel to join our team at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for selling guest rooms and Hyatt services to transient market customers through corporate accounts, travel agencies, individual travel, and wholesale groups.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales and Account Management: Manage current accounts and ensure proper solicitation of all transient markets.
  2. Proposal and Presentation Development: Prepare and present effective proposals and presentations to clients.
  3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain well-organized documentation and reports to track sales performance and customer interactions.
  4. Technology and Customer Service: Utilize Hyatt technology systems and coordinate customer service requirements with hotel operations staff.
  5. Event Meetings and Sales: Participate in and lead event meetings, sales, and other staff meetings to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Business Acumen: A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of key accounts and agencies within the luxury travel segment.
  • Communication Skills: Refined verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated success in business travel or leisure sales.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in general computer knowledge, hotelligence, rfp express, lanyon, and salesforce.com.
  • Training and Development: Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training.
  • Community Involvement: Community involvement and/or professional association is highly regarded.

  • Competitive Salary: A salary range of $95,000 - $105,000.
  • Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for our incentive compensation SIP program.
