The Construction Discipline Superintendent oversees the construction activities related to their specific discipline, ensuring compliance with project HSSE, quality, and scheduling requirements as outlined in the construction execution plan (CEP).

You will lead a team of Supervisors and collaborate with Quality Verification Inspectors for your discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

To foster a safe working environment on-site, you are expected to:
1.1. Provide leadership to ensure that the HSSE plan is comprehended and executed by the Supervisors in your discipline.
The effectiveness of your leadership will be measured by:
  • Achievement of Group and Project HSSE targets
To meet Group/Project Quality standards, you are to:
2.1. Ensure that the Quality Plan is understood and implemented by the Supervisors/Inspectors in your discipline.
2.2. Lead the site Quality verification team for your scope.
Your effectiveness will be assessed by:
  • Meeting Group and Project quality targets
  • Adherence to the Group Quality Golden Rules
To achieve Mechanical Completion (A-Scope), you are responsible for:
3.1. Ensuring that Supervisors and Inspectors in your discipline are familiar with SBM Construction and Completions processes and understand their roles and responsibilities.
3.2. Monitoring yard productivity and manpower allocation to meet construction schedule milestones.
3.3. Ensuring that yard construction procedures related to your discipline are reviewed and approved.
3.4. Ensuring compliance with the Inspections and Test Plan (ITP) by your team.
3.5. Ensuring that all Quality Verification Documentation is reviewed and approved in a timely manner.
3.6. Maintaining and compiling Manufacturing Data Records (MDR) systematically.
3.7. Keeping an up-to-date as-built dossier.
3.8. Ensuring that Discipline Inspection Test Reports (ITR-A's and associated Punch lists) are compiled, issued by the yard, and logged into the Completion database.
3.9. Collaborating with Supply Chain to ensure Required On Site (ROS) materials are available.
3.10. Assisting the Material Controller with Receiving Inspections of materials and equipment related to your discipline.
Your effectiveness will be evaluated by:
  • Achievement of project milestones within the defined schedule, quality, and safety parameters
  • Feedback from the Construction Manager
