About the Role

Vig Re, a dynamic reinsurance company, is seeking an experienced Senior Non-Life Treaty Underwriter to join its team in Paris, France. This role will be responsible for shaping the future of Vig Re in Western and Southern Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies for Vig Re in France, BeNeLux, Iberia, and Maghreb regions.
  • Represent Vig Re in allocated markets, understanding client needs, and developing solutions.
  • Analyze, evaluate, negotiate, and bind profitable treaty reinsurance business for Vig Re.
  • Manage portfolio exposures for different lines of businesses and support risk accumulation control.
Requirements
  • Passionate about underwriting with a deep understanding and experience in risk assessment and management.
  • Strategic development and management of client and broker relationships.
  • Assessing proportional, non-proportional treaty reinsurance business and complex structures.
  • Open-minded and proactive with strong analytical skills and experience with underwriting tools and IT applications.
  • Team player with a university degree in quantitative studies or economics.
  • 8+ years of experience in reinsurance underwriting, preferably with a Casualty background.
