VIG Re, a dynamic reinsurance company, is seeking an experienced Senior Non-Life Treaty Underwriter to join its team in Paris. This role is responsible for France, BeNeLux, Iberia, and Maghreb regions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the strategy for VIG Re in Western and Southern Europe.
- Represent VIG Re in allocated markets, understanding client needs, and developing solutions.
- Analyze, evaluate, negotiate, and bind profitable treaty reinsurance business.
- Manage portfolio exposures for different lines of businesses and support risk accumulation control.
- Passionate about underwriting with a deep understanding and experience in risk assessment and management.
- Strategic development and management of client and broker relationships.
- Assessing proportional, non-proportional treaty reinsurance business and complex structures.
- Open-minded and proactive with strong analytical skills and experience with underwriting tools and IT applications.
- A team player with a university degree in quantitative studies or economics.
- 8+ years of experience in reinsurance underwriting, preferably with a Casualty background.
- Fluent French and English, with other language skills a plus.
