Job Summary

With a strong reputation in the oil and gas sector, SPIE Global Services Energy has been selected to support the ENI ORF PROJECT in Ghana. We are seeking skilled and dedicated professionals for the role of Team Leader M/F.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations at an Onshore Receiving Facility.
  • Manage a 4x4 rotation schedule.
  • Act as the technical representative and primary contact for the contractor on-site.
  • Supervise the on-site management of maintenance teams, including technical, administrative, and operational aspects.
  • Serve as the HSE management representative for contractor activities.

Main Duties:

  • Enforce and promote QHSSE standards and procedures.
  • Direct team activities as the SPIE focal point on-site.
  • Allocate daily tasks to supervisors based on planning team inputs.
  • Coordinate maintenance and inspection tasks.
  • Review and approve technical documentation.
  • Provide timely updates on maintenance and inspection progress, addressing any challenges encountered.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of procedures and tools utilized by the teams.
  • Analyze CMMS data to maintain a strategic overview of site activities.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an updated log of tasks that can only be performed during machine inspections and shutdowns.
  • Proactively identify potential issues that may arise in the production facility.
  • Organize team rotation schedules.
  • Assess training and resource requirements.
  • Facilitate on-the-job training to support competency development and nationalization efforts.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial plants, specifically in refinery or petrochemical environments, as a maintenance supervisor and mechanical field engineer during similar plant setups and commissioning.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience in a company managing General Maintenance Contracts in industrial settings, holding a position as Team Leader or CSR.
  • Familiarity with the principles governing oil and gas treatment processes and equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams.
  • Capacity to work independently while fostering positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Physical capability to operate in tropical climate conditions.
  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility and strong management skills.
  • Methodical and rigorous approach to operational tasks.
  • Ability to anticipate and analyze situations effectively.
  • Natural authority and flexibility in leadership style.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in industrial plants (refinery or petrochemical) as a maintenance supervisor and mechanical field engineer during similar plant setups and commissioning.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a company managing General Maintenance Contracts in industrial complexes, in a role as Team Leader or CSR.
  • Proficiency in CMMS utilization.
  • Knowledge of management and planning methodologies.
