Position Overview

Schneider Electric is seeking a Medium Voltage Power Electronics Testing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in our Power Systems and Services division, which is dedicated to addressing the design and development needs of Medium Voltage products.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of our engineering team, you will:

  • Engage in the design and development of innovative modular multi-level medium voltage power electronics systems.
  • Oversee the entire hardware design process, ensuring compliance with performance, quality, and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.
  • Formulate comprehensive test plans and procedures tailored for modular multi-level medium voltage power electronics systems.
  • Interpret test requirements from relevant standards and establish appropriate test benches.
  • Design and implement test setups for the validation and verification of power electronic components and systems.
  • Conduct a variety of tests, including performance, reliability, environmental, and safety assessments.
  • Analyze test outcomes and generate detailed reports.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of test plans with product specifications.
  • Identify and resolve issues within power electronic systems, proposing design enhancements.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and best practices in power electronics testing.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in testing medium voltage power electronics systems.
  • A strong grasp of power electronics principles and components.
  • Proficiency in utilizing test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations governing power electronics testing.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
