Role Overview
At Clifford Chance, our Client & Market Development (C&MD) function plays a crucial role in executing our global strategy, which places clients at the forefront of our operations.

In this position, you will be an integral member of the C&MD team, focusing on the growth of our Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice throughout Continental Europe.

This proactive role involves collaboration with the L&DR Regional Practice Area Lead, the Continental European Leadership team, and a network of partners and lawyers within the Litigation & Dispute Resolution sector.

Our distinguished European L&DR practice boasts extensive expertise across various dispute resolution areas, with increasing engagement in emerging sectors. Clifford Chance is recognized as a trusted partner for key market players, often involved in high-profile cases that attract significant media attention.

This position is vital for supporting the regional practice area and offers an opportunity to make a substantial impact.

Key Responsibilities
- **Revenue Generation**: Assist the C&MD One Europe L&DR Lead in executing strategic business development initiatives across Continental Europe.
- **Leadership**: Spearhead Continental European-led Litigation & Dispute Resolution initiatives and campaigns.
- **Market Insight**: Identify market trends and opportunities within all Litigation & Dispute Resolution product areas in the Continental European landscape.

- **Collaboration**: Work closely with Litigation & Dispute Resolution C&MD counterparts, particularly in London, to uncover opportunities and develop initiatives for existing and prospective clients.

- **Pitch Management**: Lead the preparation of pitches for significant Litigation & Dispute Resolution opportunities across the region.

- **Reputation Management**: Collaborate with the Global L&DR Communications & Marketing Lead to enhance our visibility in the Continental European market, including organizing regional client events, seminars, and conferences.

- **Client Focus**: Utilize knowledge of the regional practice to support client and sector programs across the area, conducting competitor and market analysis to pinpoint current and emerging opportunities.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a problem-solving mindset, guiding others in resolving complex challenges and leading the successful execution of long-term C&MD initiatives. Key qualifications include:

- Previous experience in business development within professional services, preferably in a law firm.
- A genuine interest in the legal sector, particularly in Litigation & Dispute Resolution, with a willingness to expand knowledge.
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A highly motivated and dedicated team player with an international perspective and experience working across diverse countries.
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
