Job DescriptionWe are seeking recently graduated Engineers to join our International Graduate Engineers Program. This 21-month program will provide you with a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a global mining company.
Program OverviewThe program consists of two years, with the first year focusing on onboarding, international assignment, and job rotations. In the second year, you will continue to work on international assignments and job rotations, with a focus on project delivery and program graduation.
Responsibilities- Work closely with personnel at all levels to become a subject matter expert in departmental products and processes.
- Install and maintain system BOM's & Routers for all products.
- Support projects to develop new products and/or processes.
- Participate in the APQP process, approving new products and processes.
- Support modification of processes and products.
- Plan and supervise the correct course of statistical process control.
- Work together with peers and customers.
- Engage and lead lean manufacturing activities focused on Visual Factory, streamlined material flow, waste reduction, and inventory minimization.
- Generate and execute continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, improve product quality, and increase efficiency.
- Maintain documented standards systems for the department.
- Develop and conduct technical training for the furnace team as required for safe and effective operation.
- Assume a leading role in process improvement and coordinate quality and cost-reduction efforts.
- Bachelor's / Masters degree in engineering (mining, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical).
- Fluent English (French and Spanish is a plus).
- International mindset or eagerness to be a citizen of the world.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across varying departments to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Six sigma, lean manufacturing, or 5S training or experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with quality systems and process optimization is a plus.
- A first successful experience in an industrial environment (internship, work-study, graduate program) is a plus.
