We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to enhance our capabilities in building, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining our extensive network infrastructure, both in the AWS Cloud and on-premises environments.
As a member of the Infrastructure & Operations team, you will focus on ensuring reliability, performance, and security to effectively manage and scale our cloud infrastructure. Collaboration with fellow Network Engineers in a global, distributed setting will be essential, along with interaction with colleagues specializing in SysOps, Databases, Office IT, and Security.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong technical skills and the ability to engage effectively with peers. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are crucial. You should be well-organized and ready to take ownership of your responsibilities.
If you enjoy tackling large-scale problems, prefer to create scalable and reliable solutions for automating infrastructure management, and have a technical mindset, this position is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities- Administering AWS VPCs, Transit Gateways, Wide-Area Networks, Routing, Site-to-Site and Client VPNs, Firewalls, and associated circuits, services, and devices.
- Integrating on-premises networks with AWS through VPNs, AWS Direct Connect, and other hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Implementing and managing AWS network security protocols, including Security Groups, Network ACLs, and AWS WAF.
- Overseeing, constructing, maintaining, and monitoring SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions for end-user connectivity and security.
- Monitoring network availability and capacity utilization to ensure compliance with availability and quality of service objectives.
- Collaborating with technical and delivery teams to assess cloud platform requirements and establish technical specifications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving network issues across development, testing, and production cloud environments.
- Working alongside Infrastructure Engineers and Architects on cloud infrastructure design and architecture issues, assisting with proof-of-concept testing.
- Documenting technical processes and updates.
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud, particularly in Networking services.
- Experience with physical networking, specifically Fortigates and Cisco, with a solid understanding of networking concepts such as firewalls, route tables, VPN, and BGP.
- Expertise in designing and implementing AWS networking solutions, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, and network ACLs.
- Experience in troubleshooting issues related to VPCs, Transit Gateways, firewalls, load balancers, TCP/IP, and routing protocols, as well as tools like tcpdump or Wireshark.
- Understanding of cloud operations, monitoring, and logging tools.
- Familiarity with cloud security models and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud design and architectural patterns.
- Experience with Linux.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python) is advantageous.
- Experience with IaaC (preferably CloudFormation), Gitlab, and CI/CD is a plus.
- Good understanding of security standards and best practices, as well as modern Authentication and Authorization methods.
- Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access SASE is a plus.
- Self-motivated and driven, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
- Fluency in English.
Annual Salary: 50,000€ (gross, includes bonus)
