Position Overview:
The Legal & Compliance team at MoCaFi plays a crucial role in providing expert guidance and support to further our mission. We are in search of a skilled and proactive individual to fill a pivotal paralegal position that will assist in our legal operations, including contract management, corporate governance, marketing compliance, and the development of internal policies and controls. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technological aptitude and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to facilitate our diverse initiatives, manage essential documents, and ensure compliance with legal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee legal operations, including contract lifecycle management and adherence to internal policies and third-party regulations.
- Support the company's commercial objectives by preparing templates, training materials, and assisting in the negotiation and finalization of legal documents.
- Ensure compliance with marketing regulations by reviewing all promotional materials and communications to align with legal requirements.
- Maintain direct communication with our banking partners and other external collaborators.
- Develop and maintain knowledge resources, best practices, and conduct training sessions related to marketing and contract management.
- Utilize project management methodologies to lead various initiatives effectively.
- Assist with corporate governance tasks, including maintaining records of board meetings and compliance with registration requirements.
- Stay informed about best practices in legal department operations to recommend improvements.
- Identify and implement new tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Paralegal Studies certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on marketing, consumer protection, and contract law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with legal operation software is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Experience as a primary contact for information management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while identifying effective solutions.
- Capable of working collaboratively in a team setting while also independently achieving objectives.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn about the business and legal landscape.
