Your Role: Lead Application Delivery Consultant

As a Lead Application Delivery Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding small Agile teams focused on migrating customer applications from traditional relational databases to modern, cloud-native solutions built on MongoDB. You'll leverage the latest GenAI technologies and methodologies to streamline this process and deliver innovative results.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay at the forefront of the industry by continuously exploring and implementing cutting-edge GenAI advancements in your projects.
  • Drive innovation by developing new development processes, technologies, and project approaches, particularly leveraging emerging GenAI capabilities.
  • Lead software development efforts within Agile teams, delivering high-quality solutions for migrating and modernizing customer applications to MongoDB.
  • Expand existing migration playbooks and inspire your team to think creatively, finding innovative solutions to unique challenges on each project.
  • Actively participate in sprint planning, grooming, and showcases alongside the project manager, providing technical insights and guidance to the entire team.
  • Provide technical direction to the team and collaborate with the project manager to ensure successful project delivery. This includes identifying and mitigating technical risks and challenges.
  • Analyze existing legacy applications, understand the desired target state defined by the customer, and develop comprehensive technical plans for achieving the migration goals.
  • Adapt to changing project priorities and effectively guide your team through any necessary direction shifts.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact, collaborating with client stakeholders to resolve issues and identify optimal solutions.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a software developer, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is beneficial.
  • Extensive experience building applications that interact with relational databases using SQL.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Java (J2EE / JavaEE / Spring) application architectures.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality modern applications using Agile methodologies, test-first development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git version control.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead software development projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to provide clear technical direction to the team and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities to align technical work with business objectives.
