The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join its Director General's Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing communications and outreach materials for the Director General, as well as conducting analyses related to food security, nutrition, and poverty reduction.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare presentations, speeches, blog posts, and social media posts on key development outcomes.
- Research and analyze topics related to food security, nutrition, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability.
- Draft research papers, reports, policy briefs, and journal articles.
- Conduct literature reviews and syntheses.
- Conduct trend analysis on major factors affecting global food security and nutrition.
- Perform other quantitative analysis as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, International Development, Public Policy, or a closely related field, plus two years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in the same fields, plus three years of relevant post-Master's work experience.
- Knowledge of issues related to global food security and nutrition, food systems, the environment, gender, and poverty alleviation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent writing and visual presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
