As a key member of our AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team, you will be responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers in the energy industry.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the energy industry, including power generation, transmission, and distribution, energy trading and risk management, sustainability, and the integration of renewable energy sources. You will collaborate with software and consulting companies to build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on AWS.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth and adoption of AWS services in the energy industry.
- Collaborate with software and consulting companies to build solutions on AWS that meet the needs of energy businesses.
- Work with enterprise customers in the energy sector to understand their needs and develop solutions that address their challenges.
- Author whitepapers, reference architectures, and other technical content to help customers, partners, and the Solution Architect community within AWS.
- Deliver technical webinars, speak at public events, and file patents for future AWS products or features.
- BA/BS degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Enterprise customer-facing solutions selling experience in the energy industry.
- Technical knowledge of legacy and modern application architectures and commercial software used across the energy industry.
- Understanding of enterprise systems, high-scale data movement, storage, and analytics techniques, software development lifecycle.
- Experience working effectively across internal organizations and with customers and demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
- Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers.
- Experience with AWS services, including AWS Certifications.
- Strong understanding of advanced analytic techniques such as machine learning models, deep learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and the application of these analytic approaches to energy workloads.
