About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Professional to join our team at Gleeds. As a key member of our cost management team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to our clients in the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Business Unit Directors in achieving business objectives and delivering exceptional results.
- Deliver high-quality cost management services, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest standards and customer requirements.
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and option studies to clients.
- Develop and implement cost planning strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Conduct cost-in-use studies to analyze the cost of building maintenance and identify areas for improvement.
- Advise on and implement procurement strategies to optimize project outcomes.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Prepare bids for services and evaluate tenders to ensure the best value for clients.
- Value completed work and arrange for payments, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Settle final accounts and provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues related to construction projects.
- Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Produce and present reports to clients, providing insights and recommendations to drive project success.
- Advise Directors promptly of any issues that may impact on Gleeds' professional indemnity insurance.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cost Management Professional who possesses:
- Previous cost management experience in major real estate-related construction projects.
- Knowledge of French construction regulations and practical experience in implementing procurement strategies.
- Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Knowledge of contractual forms of engineering missions, project management assistance, project management, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Understanding of national legislation impacting on building contracts.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- A methodical approach to work and organizational skills to adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, finance, and numeracy management skills.
- Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
- Professional level of English and French.
Qualifications
- Bac+2 to Bac+5, engineering school or equivalent.
- Diploma in the field of Construction Economics.
