International Finance Manager for Global Projects

The International Potato Center (CIP) seeks a highly skilled International Finance Manager to oversee the financial management of global projects from proposal to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor funding trends and manage capacity to ensure compliance and delivery of financial services to projects.
- Manage all financial aspects according to agreements, internal ERP, IFRS, and donor guidelines, including proposal budgets, project setup in OCS, invoice preparation, and submission of financial reports to donors.
- Work with project teams to disseminate donor-related information and adhere to donor rules and regulations.
- Maintain relationships with donors and prepare necessary reports to ensure compliance with agreement terms.
- Monitor compliance in projects, including project audit reports and general financial and contracts issues related to projects.
- Develop policies and procedures related to project accounting and financial management, as well as contribute to those related to grants and contracts management.
- Monitor portfolio health, including recovery of indirect costs, potential risks, and exchange rate adjustments.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate donor reports, requesting necessary invoices and staying current with donor regulations and award requirements.
- Maintain applicable project records and files in accordance with internal controls and demonstrate compliance with donor requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of international development funding is desirable.
- Aptitude for understanding complex regulations and monitoring financial transactions and documentation for compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation guidelines and BMGF project implementation.
- Strong knowledge of USAID projects, FAR, and ADS rules and regulations, and OMB Circulars.
- Accounting software packages, preferably ERP.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience. The salary range is based on industry standards for a senior finance role with a similar skill set.
