The Pricing Strategy Analyst will primarily be responsible for ensuring the consistency of client and matter rate information across all systems, in alignment with the engagement framework and external counsel guidelines. This role will concentrate on pricing and rates outside the United States. Additionally, the Pricing Strategy Analyst will analyze data to support pricing proposals and matter budgets for attorneys, monitor alternative fee arrangements, and provide comprehensive reports to both internal and external stakeholders while assisting in the annual standard rate review process. The Pricing Strategy Analyst may also be responsible for handling basic financial reporting and analysis requests as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update rate cards and electronic billing templates for proposed client pricing arrangements and rate submissions.
- Collect and populate financial data, including analysis of existing client and matter-level rate information.
- Review and update the billing system to ensure that client and matter fee arrangements are implemented in accordance with the engagement framework and external counsel guidelines.
- Input financial and non-financial information into the firm's systems and evaluate compliance with internal and external budgeting policies.
- Update and manage the client budget tracking system, auditing existing client budgets weekly for accurate reporting.
- Onboard new timekeepers in the financial systems.
- Analyze client and matter-level rate information, including responding to inquiries regarding timekeeper rates.
- Develop Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reporting to ensure data governance and integrity.
- Collaborate with the team on testing and development of user acceptance testing (UAT) related to new BI reporting tools and system updates.
- Maintain resources and content on the intranet, collaboration website, and document management system.
- Work in partnership with billing, pricing, and finance teams on overall rate-related requests.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a business or financial analyst, management accountant, or in a similar role preferred.
- Experience in professional services or law firms is highly regarded.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French or German is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Business Intelligence (and Business Applications) development, with a preference for Alteryx and Tableau.
- Ability to safeguard and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
