Are you seeking to elevate your professional journey? We are looking for an IS Solution & Infrastructure Architect to enhance our team at our headquarters or various sites.

To bolster the Solution Architecture department in IT infrastructure, the IS Solution & Infrastructure Architect will be tasked with evaluating and approving architecture study requests for IT initiatives; defining the architecture and overseeing the implementation of IS/IT solutions for Nexans Group's global applications and infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Assessing diverse requests from applications and infrastructure with detailed analysis.
  • Defining solution architecture while considering functionalities, technical options, service standards, processes, security, user experience, operational models, costs, market trends, and the current information system at Nexans.
  • Serving as a technical reference during solution execution, participating in the change management process, and aiding in the transition from project mode to operational status.
  • Ensuring ongoing technical reliability of solutions and collaborating with various IT experts.
  • Staying informed about market solutions and contributing to technological monitoring.
  • Supporting the overall IS/IT strategy.
  • Documenting existing solutions.
  • Keeping the architecture repository current.

Position Scope & Expected Contributions:

  • Playing a crucial role within the Quality and Performance team of Nexans' IT department.
  • Defining global solutions for the Nexans group.
  • Managing 12,000 PCs, 120 sites, 90 factories, 3 main data centers, Cloud, and over 700 applications.
  • Establishing architecture standards that align with industry best practices suitable for the Group's environment.
  • Creating design documents and assisting operational teams in developing technical migration and implementation documents, along with technical documentation.
  • Composing architecture analysis documents.
  • Ensuring service commitments are fulfilled during request processing.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience as an IS/IT architect.
  • Broad knowledge of IS/IT infrastructures (data centers, cloud, workstations, security, identity, network, telecom, collaboration, databases, etc.).
  • Expertise in standard market architectures.
  • Experience in an international, multicultural, and multi-site environment.
  • Proficiency in both French and English (all documentation is in English).
  • A proactive, solution-oriented, and pragmatic approach.
  • Curiosity and a drive for innovation.
  • Autonomy and initiative.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Capability to adapt communication for various stakeholders, from experts to executives.
  • Interest and knowledge in the industrial sector.
  • Familiarity with the Mega Hopex tool.
