About the Position
As an IS Solution & Infrastructure Architect, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our Solution Architecture department, specifically in IT infrastructure. You will be tasked with evaluating and approving architecture study requests for IT initiatives, defining the architecture, and overseeing the implementation of IS/IT solutions for Nexans Group's global applications and infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze diverse requests from applications and infrastructure in detail.
  • Define solution architectures that encompass functionalities, technical options, service standards, processes, security measures, user experience, operational models, costs, market trends, and align with Nexans' existing information systems.
  • Act as a technical reference during solution execution, participate in the change management process, and assist in transitioning projects to operational status.
  • Ensure the ongoing technical reliability of solutions and collaborate with various IT experts.
  • Stay informed about market solutions and contribute to technological monitoring.
  • Support the overall IS/IT strategy.
  • Document existing solutions comprehensively.
  • Keep the architecture repository updated.

Expected Contributions

  • Play a vital role within the Quality and Performance team of Nexans' IT department.
  • Define global solutions for the Nexans group.
  • Manage a network of 12,000 PCs, 120 sites, 90 factories, 3 main data centers, Cloud, and over 700 applications.
  • Establish architecture standards that align with industry best practices applicable within the Group's environment.
  • Create design documents and assist operational teams in developing technical migration and implementation documentation.
  • Produce architecture analysis documents.
  • Ensure service commitments are fulfilled during request processing.

Your Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience as an IS/IT architect.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IS/IT infrastructures, including data centers, cloud solutions, workstations, security, identity management, networking, telecommunications, collaboration tools, and databases.
  • Proficiency in standard market architectures.
  • Experience in an international, multicultural, and multi-site environment.
  • Fluency in French and English, with all documentation produced in English.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented, and pragmatic approach.
  • Curiosity and a drive for innovation.
  • Autonomy and initiative.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Capability to maintain both high-level and detailed perspectives, adapting communication for various stakeholders.
  • Interest and knowledge in the industrial sector.
  • Proficiency in the Mega Hopex tool.
