Postdoctoral Researcher in Dynamic and Shape-Memory Structures
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique (CNRS and Université Grenoble Alpes). The successful candidate will work on the development of shape-memory structures with programmable dynamics and deformation trajectories.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate shape-memory structures using 3D printing and other prototyping techniques
- Study the mechanical behavior and deformation of these structures under various loading conditions
- Develop a theoretical model to predict the deformation behavior of these structures
- Characterize the viscoelastic behavior of the structures when filled with a viscous fluid
Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Mechanics, or a related field
- Strong background in mechanics, physics, and materials science
- Experience with 3D printing, prototyping, and experimental techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will join the Move team at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire de Physique, a research unit of the CNRS and Université Grenoble Alpes. The team is composed of 8 permanent researchers and 5 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. The working conditions are excellent, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a dynamic research environment.
