The ATLAS Process Laboratory Department
Within Orano Tricastin's esteemed ATLAS Process Laboratory Department (INB176), we are dedicated to a wide range of critical activities:
- Conducting industrial analyses of finished products to ensure quality and compliance.
- Performing industrial analyses for process monitoring, optimizing production efficiency and product consistency.
- Analyzing gas and liquid releases from basic nuclear installations, safeguarding environmental integrity and regulatory adherence.
- Maintaining UF6 cylinders, upholding the highest standards of safety and operational readiness.
- Maintaining gas isotopic analyzers (SMP), ensuring accurate and reliable measurements for critical processes.
- Operating and maintaining online analyzers in support of production, providing real-time data for informed decision-making.
- Developing innovative analysis methods, pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge and technological advancement.
- Providing specialized services to external clients, leveraging our expertise and resources to meet diverse industry needs.
The Role: Laboratory Production Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Production Manager to lead our dedicated team of professionals. This role encompasses the management of five laboratories: physical-chemical analyses, powder radiochemistry, UF6, and Rejection. Each laboratory is overseen by a laboratory manager and supported by talented analysis technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire teams through effective training programs, resource allocation, and individual performance reviews.
- Act as the operational manager for the facility, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and adherence to established protocols.
- Champion a culture of compliance by enforcing all relevant regulations and safety standards for personnel.
- Implement management policies and directives from senior leadership, effectively communicating expectations and fostering a cohesive work environment.
- Define personnel skill sets and guide career progression, nurturing talent and promoting professional growth within the team.
- Assess the professional suitability of candidates for open positions, ensuring that individuals possess the necessary qualifications and experience.
- Develop comprehensive training plans based on recommendations from immediate supervisors, equipping teams with the knowledge and skills required for success.
- Proactively manage risks and emergency situations, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure safety and minimize disruptions.
- Contribute to the development of strategic action plans, aligning departmental goals with overall organizational objectives.
- Guarantee the smooth execution of activities and maintain the highest quality standards across all operations.
- Participate in incident analysis and contribute to the development of corrective action plans, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in audits and contribute to maintaining certifications and accreditations essential for laboratory operations.
- Oversee the renewal of analytical equipment, ensuring that the department possesses state-of-the-art technology to support its mission.
