About the Role
The ALSTEF Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mergers and Acquisitions Director to join its team. As a key member of the Group's Executive Committee, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the merger or acquisition process, from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the CEO, CFO, and other members of senior management to define the profile of acquisition targets and expected outcomes.
- Identify potential acquisition targets, with or without the support of an M&A banker.
- Calibrate whether the targets meet the expected requirements.
- Build the associated business case to demonstrate the potential value creation.
- Lead due diligence efforts by coordinating the work of external advisors and internal experts, and by bringing expertise and a critical eye into the audits.
- Drive the negotiation of acquisition deals.
- Develop and coordinate the construction then roll-out of an integration plan post acquisition.
- Support the integration of acquired businesses and the delivery of the expected value creation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully executing mergers and acquisitions.
- Extensive knowledge of the M&A process, including due diligence, valuation, and negotiation.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interact with people at various levels of organizations in various cultures.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Ideally based near Orléans (France), you are available for regular business travel.
