HR Development Coordinator

CIMMYT is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to addressing global food security challenges through agricultural innovation. We work with partners worldwide to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and build resilient agrifood systems.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented HR Development Coordinator to support our mission. Reporting to the Deputy Director of HR, you will play a vital role in coordinating international HR activities and development projects across our global network.
Your Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining objectives, scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and success criteria, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with HR projects and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress closely and proactively resolve issues to minimize disruptions and ensure successful outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within HR operations by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and elevate the employee experience. Implement best practices and methodologies to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to measure project performance, track key metrics, and evaluate outcomes. Prepare insightful reports and presentations for stakeholders to inform decision-making and demonstrate project impact.
- Provide support to regional offices in areas such as recruitment, training, performance management, talent development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, occupational health and safety, gender and diversity initiatives, global mobility, and internal revenue services (IRS).
- Contribute to staffing plans for regional offices, including internal mobility and recruitment needs.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement HR-related solutions, such as HR Dynamics 365 and automation tools, to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance overall HR operational efficiency.
- Advise HR leadership on best practices and ensure that HR policies and procedures remain compliant with legal standards. Conduct regular assessments with HR representatives in regional offices to identify and address potential compliance risks.
- Support the development and implementation of succession plans to ensure a robust talent pipeline and meet evolving organizational needs.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments, developing safety measures, implementing training programs, and establishing emergency procedures in collaboration with the Occupational Health & Safety team.
- Provide support to initiatives from the Medical Services department in regional offices, monitoring progress and delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR-related training programs for staff across all levels.
