Job Title: Internal Control Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Control Officer to join our team at Société Générale Assurances. As an Internal Control Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of our internal control framework, which is designed to mitigate risks and ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the definition, implementation, and maintenance of our internal control framework, ensuring it remains adequate, proportionate, and fit for purpose.
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement process for our internal control framework, ensuring it remains effective and efficient over time.
  • Contribute to the definition, implementation, and maintenance of Level 1 controls (L1C) framework for our organization, ensuring it aligns with our risk management and compliance requirements.
  • Act as the ultimate owner of our L1C Library and main correspondent on it for all stakeholders, ensuring it remains up-to-date and aligned with our internal control framework.
  • Ensure that LOD1 Business Owners are well-identified, animate the LOD1 Business Owners community, and contribute to the definition, implementation, and maintenance of L1C framework in their respective perimeters.
  • Develop and animate the LOD1 Internal Control community, raising awareness and expertise through dedicated trainings, radio calls, operational guidelines, workshops, and through the LOD1 Internal Control Sharepoint.
  • Consolidate, challenge, and analyze the L1C quarterly campaigns' results for our organization, ensuring timely reporting to our management and SG Group.
  • Contribute to and provide L1C data for other committees and reportings upon request.
  • Carry out the role of Local LOD1 Internal Control Coordinator for our organization, supervising local entities and providing dedicated trainings and support to Regional and Local LOD1 Internal Control Coordinators.
Requirements:
  • Proven ability to discuss with the business, adopting an independent partner posture while understanding concerns.
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory and risk environment in the financial sector or in a regulatory/supervisory control body.
  • Knowledge of the Leasing business is an advantage.
  • Autonomy, ability to make decisions, responsibility.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Curious and rigorous.
  • Good communication, coordination, convincing, and motivating skills.
  • Advanced usage of Excel is mandatory.
  • Min 3 years of experience.
