Job Opportunity at INRIA

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at INRIA, a world-renowned research center in the field of quantum information theory.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a research project exploring quantum protocols based on the concept of quantum nonlocality and quantum networks.

Research Project

The research project will involve:

  • Methods for characterizing quantum correlations beyond the Bell scenario: mathematical foundation of these methods (C* algebras, noncommutative polynomial optimization)
  • Understanding the foundational implications of quantum correlations in networks
  • Developing applications of network nonlocality to certification protocols, such as randomness generation
  • Adapting existing protocols for their experimental implementation
  • Developing practical benchmarks of the concept of 'Genuine Multipartite Nonlocality'
  • Exploring the limits of quantum distributed computing

Collaboration and Networking

The position will involve collaboration with a large European consortium, including researchers from top universities and research institutions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field, and an excellent track record of publications in quantum information theory.

Benefits

The successful candidate will enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • Subsidized meals
  • Partial reimbursement of public transport costs
  • Leave: 7 weeks of annual leave + 10 extra days off due to RTT (statutory reduction in working hours) + possibility of exceptional leave
  • Possibility of teleworking and flexible organization of working hours
  • Professional equipment available
  • Social, cultural and sports events and activities
  • Access to vocational training
  • Social security coverage

Remuneration

The remuneration will be according to the candidate's profile.
