The role of the project manager is pivotal in steering a development initiative from the conceptual phase through to production deployment. This position requires close collaboration with both the development team and external vendors, as well as the client or business stakeholders, to guarantee a project that aligns with established requirements. Essential attributes for success in this role include:

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and coordination
  • Proactive mindset and ability to take initiative
  • Capability to anticipate and respond to unforeseen challenges
  • Proficient command of English (both spoken and written) for meetings and documentation
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical sector and its specific challenges is advantageous.

As a project manager within the IT division of a pharmaceutical organization undergoing digital transformation, you will work in close partnership with the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting business teams in their restructuring and process standardization efforts
  • Needs analysis and qualification
  • Evaluation of vendor commercial proposals
  • Facilitating client/user workshops to outline and clarify requirements
  • Collaborative functional project design and specification with business experts and suppliers (technical teams)
  • Management of implementation processes:
    • Defining project deliverables
    • Establishing timelines
    • Monitoring project progress
    • Adhering to deadlines and budget constraints
  • Overseeing testing procedures (test planning and validation)
  • Managing risks and escalating alerts as necessary
  • Data migration oversight
  • Application maintenance and post-implementation support

Required competencies:

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience with project tracking tools: Redmine, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Monday, etc.
  • Expertise in analysis and specification of requirements
  • Understanding of web application architecture and technical environments
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as databases, APIs, and infrastructure is a plus.
