The role of the project manager involves steering a development initiative from the initial design stage through to production delivery. This position requires close collaboration with both the development team/external vendors and the client/business to ensure the project meets established standards. Essential qualities for this role include:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, precision, and coordination
  • A proactive and initiative-driven mindset
  • The ability to anticipate and respond to unforeseen challenges
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) for meetings and documentation
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical sector and its specific challenges is advantageous.

As a project manager in the IT division of a pharmaceutical organization undergoing digital transformation, you will work closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Supporting business teams in their restructuring and process alignment
  • Analyzing and defining needs
  • Evaluating vendor commercial proposals
  • Coordinating client/user workshops to outline and clarify requirements
  • Designing and specifying functional projects in collaboration with business experts and suppliers (technical teams)
  • Managing implementation, which includes:
    • Defining project deliverables
    • Creating a project timeline
    • Monitoring project progress
    • Adhering to deadlines and budget constraints
  • Overseeing testing processes (test planning and validation)
  • Managing risks and escalating alerts as necessary
  • Overseeing data migration
  • Ensuring application maintenance and post-implementation support

Required skills include:

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Experience with project tracking tools such as Redmine, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Monday, etc.
  • Proficiency in methods for analyzing and specifying requirements
  • Understanding of web application architecture and technical environments
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as databases, APIs, and infrastructure is a plus.
