Job Title: Engineering Manager
About the Role:
ENGIE is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in La Défense, France. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading our engineering team and ensuring the production of engineering deliverables follows our standards and is produced on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team and ensure the production of engineering deliverables follows our standards and is produced on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
- Supervise and manage engineering contractors during the project lifetime.
- Review, comment, and coordinate reviews and comments within the engineering team.
- Control the quality of contractors' design deliverables.
- Support the construction team during construction as the main technical interface between the construction team and the engineering contractor.
- Ensure the capitalization of lessons learned and continuous improvement of engineering standards and practices.
- Be responsible for prefeasibility studies and diagnostics for upgrades and retrofit projects.
- Collect the list of existing engineering documents and identify missing information/documents required to carry out the project.
- Control or define a list of diagnostics to be done to control site/equipment existing conditions to perform the works.
- Define the list of engineering deliverables to be produced for the works in accordance with the engineering team.
- Review and comment engineering deliverables.
- Proofread and comment supplier offers.
Requirements:
- M.S. degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in construction site field experience.
- At least 20 years' experience in engineering positions in energy/water/waste treatment/industry in an EPC contractor company.
- Experience with working in a project-oriented culture, based on collaborative, agile, and innovative ways of working.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Other languages are a plus.
